Schroders Australia Chief Assumes Chairman Post At FSC

The Financial Services Council, the Australian organisation composed of wealth management firms, has named a new chairman. Starting 1 August, Greg Cooper takes the top role at the regulator, replacing Peter Maher who retired 31 July. Cooper is the chief executive of Schroders Australia and has been a director of the FSC since 2008. From 2011, he held the roles of deputy chairman and deputy chairman of the administration and risk board committee. Maher leaves after serving as chairman for three years. He was elected to the board in 2004.
